Merry Christmas

Today my cute grandma, mother, friend Sophie and I made sugar cookies. Oh my heck, it took us forever. Three hours of baking, frosting and sprinkles. I must be ADD because I thought our little festive project wouldn't come to an end! I've been on a sugar high all day. Our batch was to make 100 cookies, that number didn't hold due to the fact that I ate my weight in sugar cookie dough!MMMM nothing is better than a spoon, or hand full, of dough and a glass of milk. We also decorated our Christmas tree, while watching our family favs, Christmas Vacation and Elf. Ok, I'll admit it's not just at Christmas time when we watch these, they're played over and over year round.
Later that night we went with our friends to a cute coffee place in Meridian for hot coco and what was supposed to be Christmas light gazing, ended up as a Wii tournament! So, the lights will have to come another night! Merry Christmas!

Bodily fluids, bed pans and blood, whoo hoo!

We received a long awaited phone call yesterday letting us know Travis was accepted into the ISU nursing program in Boise! I have a Gaylord Focker on my hands and we're so excited. For those of you that know, we've been sweating major bullets knowing that Travis was the 2nd alternate to possibly get into the program! He'll complete the program in 16 months as an RN and will attend school to further his education as a nurse anesthetist. Thank you for all of your prayers, text messages and phone calls!

Fishing...for kittens?

Saturday me, my husband, father and friends Sophie and TJ went fishing on the Boise River. It was a beautiful day and we caught a lot of trout! The boys brought their waders and were trying their luck at steelhead fishing! While fishing on the river, we came across baby kittens lying on their mother who had died. Of course me, being the future ASPCA worker, I lured the three babies out of the bush with pizza crust and zipped them into my coat for the duration of the fishing day! We didn't keep any fish, just kittens!

2 boys, 3 girls, and a much needed update...

Hello all! We're still alive and doing well. We've been very busy the last 3 weeks. As you know, we've moved back to Idaho. I didn't think it would be as hard as it has been, mostly for me, due to the fact that we had such great friends and jobs in Utah. Its the little things that I miss, like my neighbors little girl that yelled "TraBis" she loves her "TraBis". I miss my work girls hilarious stories laughter and wondering if someone fed the dang fish that day. I miss winning in my bunco group, ha ha sorry guys, Travis made me practice! I miss movie night at the Jones house, and watching Karter and Kandon play and grow. Anyways, I'll jump off my box, just know that I miss and love you very much!

On a lighter note, Gracie had her puppies one week ago! In the group photo the 2 little boys are on the left and our 3 ladies are on the right! In order from the left is Duke, Daxton, Daphnee, Darbee and Dottie. I guess I'm one of those moms! We were up all night birthing the babies! I didn't sleep a wink until 7 the next morning, peeking in their bin everytime they made the slightest noise. Sorry, I'm posting like this is my first born, ha ha! The other pictures are of us in Salt Lake going to see Thriller as our last date night before we moved, loved loved loved it too! Well, I'll keep updating pics of the little ones! love ya-Linds

Thank you to everyone that we've met along our journey. We love you and are going to miss you a lot. This is our humble abode we just put up for sale, it's in Springville 3 bed 2 1/2 bath. Oh, and cross your fingers...we're hoping Trav gets into the nursing school in Boise. xo

TJ and Sophie are now Mr. and Mrs. Roberts! This past weekend the love birds got married in the Salt Lake Temple! They looked amazing! The sealing and reception were beautiful too. Of course I had a melt down when they left the reception, Sophie's like my little sister and I was a mess! We love you guys and are so happy for you! Have fun on the honeymoon;)Yes, finally!

Guess Who's Pregnant...

Gracie Lou! Sorry, I know that was rude! We're super excited, she throws some cute babies!

Idaho Trip...again

Travis, TJ and I headed up to Idaho last weekend with the animals, including Tucker the cat, the new addition to the family at 12am and made it to Boise at 5:30am! I don't know what we were thinking! We stayed awake watching movies and eating the whole way so it worked out! The Labor day weekend was full of events starting with a fishing trip, I know shocker! My family decided to all SQUEEZE into my dad's drift boat and Bass fish! Leave it up to the lady to catch the biggest one, thank you thank you! It was about 15 inches, ok probably only like 13 but we'll just make it a real "fishing story!" Sophie and TJ are getting married next weekend, already, AHH! So we all went to the Boise Temple with her on Friday and then had her bridal and bachelorette parties were on Saturday. We finally got a friend picture with everyone in it! The bachelorette party pics are a little "R" rated, as they should be, so I left them out! But, it was a good time to say the least! Everyone is coming to town next weekend and the kids are getting married in the SLC Temple on Saturday! Trav and I hooked TJ and Sophie up 2 years ago at a Kenny Chesney concert! Congrats to the-soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. TJ Roberts! We love you!

Bon Appetit!

So, as much as I am a girly girl, I love the outdoors! I have a wonderful friend, Sophie, who's game for anything we decide would be a fun/different activity for us. My dad took us Bass fishing this particular day, by the way, we were baiting our hooks with live Blue Gill fish, poor nemos:( Didn't stop us from catching large mouth Bass though! Well, anyways, at the end of our fishing trip we decided it would be fun to stop at the Boise River and catch some crawdads...and eat them! Ahhh, I know gross right? So, my dad whips out this 10 foot net and Sophie and I hold each end while dad walks towards us kicking up rocks! These creatures with GIANT claw things are snapping at us left and right flying out of their hiding spots under the rocks. We ended up with a bucket full after a few rock kicking sessions, much screaming involved too. We did the whole boil bath thing! Sad, I know but don't worry they went fast! So, for future knowledge, they taste like shrimp!

The Loooove/Fishing Boat

Okay, so Travis and his friend bought a "fishing" boat together last spring. Well, this past Saturday Trav took me out to Deer Creek Lake for my first time on the "fishing" boat! I feel like I need to put "quotations" around "fishing" because of her well, um, condition. If you take a real good look at her self portrait, she's had a body lift white trash style! The duct tape on the seats is what kills me! The "fishing" boat is a 1967 and is also equipped with an old school style horn and a wood floor! She looks outta shape but for an old lady she can haul, 35mph whoo hoo! I figured this would hand anyone an out loud laugh! We had a great time, if anyone's up for an interesting experience she seats 6...tubing anyone?! He he!

Everyone is coming down to stay with us because Travis graduates from BYU, Woot Woot! We are having a Luau party for Trav, going to Lagoon and the Jack Johnson concert! So, to sum it up, there will be more pictures to come! See ya soon!

Summertime Fun

This past weekend we went to a bbq with the Jones'. We had lots of laughs and of course, lots of food! There was a pinata, you heard right, and fireworks to boot! Then tonight Trav and I headed to Salem Ponds with the kids and fed the geese and ducks. I caught an 8 pound carp and it about tore my arm clean off! Gracie and Griffin made some geese friends as you can see in the picture. They're were nose to nose for like 10 minutes. That's the latest festivities in the Henderson home!

Orem Days

This year we went to the
Orem Days Festivities with the Jones family, our good friends! Mandi and I went to the fair for what seemed like a week! We had lots of fun. Karter and I rode a germ infested slide and Kandon took 2nd place in the baby contest! We then met the men for the parade! Trav is holding baby Kandon for future practice(way in the future) and Karter, I mean Kung Foo Panda, and I are waiting for the parade to start on our blanket! He was my cute date! Love you guys!
