Bon Appetit!

So, as much as I am a girly girl, I love the outdoors! I have a wonderful friend, Sophie, who's game for anything we decide would be a fun/different activity for us. My dad took us Bass fishing this particular day, by the way, we were baiting our hooks with live Blue Gill fish, poor nemos:( Didn't stop us from catching large mouth Bass though! Well, anyways, at the end of our fishing trip we decided it would be fun to stop at the Boise River and catch some crawdads...and eat them! Ahhh, I know gross right? So, my dad whips out this 10 foot net and Sophie and I hold each end while dad walks towards us kicking up rocks! These creatures with GIANT claw things are snapping at us left and right flying out of their hiding spots under the rocks. We ended up with a bucket full after a few rock kicking sessions, much screaming involved too. We did the whole boil bath thing! Sad, I know but don't worry they went fast! So, for future knowledge, they taste like shrimp!

The Loooove/Fishing Boat

Okay, so Travis and his friend bought a "fishing" boat together last spring. Well, this past Saturday Trav took me out to Deer Creek Lake for my first time on the "fishing" boat! I feel like I need to put "quotations" around "fishing" because of her well, um, condition. If you take a real good look at her self portrait, she's had a body lift white trash style! The duct tape on the seats is what kills me! The "fishing" boat is a 1967 and is also equipped with an old school style horn and a wood floor! She looks outta shape but for an old lady she can haul, 35mph whoo hoo! I figured this would hand anyone an out loud laugh! We had a great time, if anyone's up for an interesting experience she seats 6...tubing anyone?! He he!

Woot Woot

Travis Boyd Graduated!! He worked very very hard and I'm so proud of him! Thanks to all of our family and friends that have supported us along the way, we love and appreciate everything you do! Congrats again Travis, i lub you!

Good Times

We drove to the "Y" to watch the 24th of July fireworks a couple of weeks ago. We also went to the Pioneer Days parade in Spanish Fark, that's the way I like to say it(Calee you say it the best) We have more festivites starting tomorrow! Everyone is coming down to stay with us because Travis graduates from BYU, Woot Woot! We are having a Luau party for Trav, going to Lagoon and the Jack Johnson concert! So, to sum it up, there will be more pictures to come! See ya soon!

Summertime Fun

This past weekend we went to a bbq with the Jones'. We had lots of laughs and of course, lots of food! There was a pinata, you heard right, and fireworks to boot! Then tonight Trav and I headed to Salem Ponds with the kids and fed the geese and ducks. I caught an 8 pound carp and it about tore my arm clean off! Gracie and Griffin made some geese friends as you can see in the picture. They're were nose to nose for like 10 minutes. That's the latest festivities in the Henderson home!

Orem Days

This year we went to the
Orem Days Festivities with the Jones family, our good friends! Mandi and I went to the fair for what seemed like a week! We had lots of fun. Karter and I rode a germ infested slide and Kandon took 2nd place in the baby contest! We then met the men for the parade! Trav is holding baby Kandon for future practice(way in the future) and Karter, I mean Kung Foo Panda, and I are waiting for the parade to start on our blanket! He was my cute date! Love you guys!

4th of July Festivities

So, this is a much needed update. I've been slacking on my blogging skills! This is an update in the Henderson household. Trav and I had our 3rd year anniversary and celebrated by camping with our friends TJ and Sophie last month. we just returned from Idaho last night at 2 in the morning! We started off with a family reunion then headed to Boise for the holiday! We had VERY late nights with pool parties, girls nights, rock band compititions and even a car wash by me and Sop! The boys bought a ton of "legal" fireworks and we ended with a bonfire and swim olympics on the 4th. Umm, oh and lots and lots and lots of snow cones(1/2 bubblegum 1/2 banana for me!) We ended our week and a half fiesta with a Cabana party at Roaring Springs! Trav and I also hiked the "Y" let's just say I thought I was in shape until that little adventure! I'll stick with Gold's Gym, thanks though!

Sick of being SICK!!

Okay, I'm so ready to go back to work! On top of the 5 day weekend we have right now, I've been out 2 more days than that, and NOT HAPPY! Starting with my "fever blisters" in my throat, to my head, and now it's phlegm city in my chest, I know graphic but so necessary to use! Thanks everyone for your cute text messages and comments! Yes, I'm alive...in bed! I just needed to vent, thanks for listening, see you Wednesday!

Cruise with the Office!!

So, our wonderful Dr's took the whole office on a Cruise last week and it was at blast! We all left our husbands and headed out for a girls week! We didn't sleep at all! We stayed up and danced, karaoked, we had slumber parties and ATE, worked out then ATE some more and talked forever about everything! I'm so lucky that I work with such wonderful people who are great co-workers and friends! Thank You Dr. G and Dr. A, and thanks to the ladies that made it such a fun cruise, love you guys!

Since I will be leaving for my cruise in a couple days, woot woot for that, I wanted to post about my cute mom for Mother's Day! She's a wonderful woman! For those of you who don't know her, she's hilarious! My mom is my hero and my best friend!

Almost 3 years...

I feel like it was just yesterday when I met Travis for the first time at the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City and it's already been 4 1/2 years. We've been married almost 3! I feel so grateful for my husband daily, and when General Conference comes and goes I try to be a better person and wife after listening to all of the testimonies! President Monson's concluding talk today was so great, and made me feel more thankful than I already am for my eternal companion. I didn't grow up with the Preisthood in my life and well, it's a wonderful thing! I love you babe! These are some of the first pictures of us as Mr. and Mrs.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun...

So everytime I go to Idaho we have "girls night" This is followed by a huge slumber party/food fest! We all leave our husbands, I figure I'm with Trav for eternity, he he, so I'm always excited. Easter

So, on Sunday I got up and made Travis, Sophie and TJ breakfast in bed! Travis and I headed off to church. My nursery, whom I've been teaching for almost 1 1/2 years, decorated their Easter eggs, what were we thinking, and colored their bunny pictures! My kids were ALL on sugar highs, just for the record. Not to mention I brought candy for snack time! Great idea! Ha ha I love them! Anyways, this weekend TJ purposed to my best friend Sophie, a total surprise to her! We headed up Springville canyon for a bon fire, did the whole smore thing and that's where he asked her! I filmed it, with the cap on, ha ha! You couldn't see anything anyways because it was 11:30 at night, so it's fine...right?! Anyways that's my eventful weekends! Congrats Sop and TJ, love ya!
