Henderson Update:)

Hello fellow bloggers, this is just a quick update on our life. Travis is loving school and is already coming up on the summer semester with finals next week. Our Gaylord really enjoys going to the VA for his clinical hours and comes home with very interesting stories as you can imagine. He just had his spring break and spent the ENTIRE time fixing up the "Old Love Boat" furnishing her with new seats and green carpet to match. Trav and my dad took her out on the lake for the first fishing trip of the season and had a great time. This picture is the only one of him in official "scrub attire"
Our townhouse sold last month, which is a miracle! Our old neighbor told me how cute our front yard looks. I'd forgotten that I planted a ton of tulips to bloom this spring, sad:( Anyways, back on track, I've been working and recently got a new Ortho job that starts at the beginning of May. It'll allow me to work more hours and has some added perks to boot. We just had a girls night tonight that consisted of PF Changs dinner and a PJ after party.
As for now Trav and I are trying to enjoy the spring weather that comes and goes. We're planting a giant garden with the family, I'll let you know how that works out, ha ha. We take our furballs to the park to watch the adorable baby geese, we fly kites and bike the green belt too. Hope everyone is enjoying the weather too! Love the Hendersons<3

I'm in Love...

Now, I'm not one to speak my mind about reality shows but let's be honest, everyone secretly loves Adam Lambert. I am here to declare my love out loud! I loved him when he tried out, I loved his creepy/sexy way he sang Ring of Fire and tonight, ahhhh Adam. You're my one and only... gay husband. Love the polish, love the liner, love the skinny jeans. Admit it fellow bloggers... he dresses better than half the women you know. Whether or not he's the next AI, I'll be the first in line to scream like a 14 year old at a concert. That's all. Love Allison too, just for the record.:)

Disclaimer: Travis is fully aware of this creepy obsession:)

February's Adventures

So, February was a great month. To make it quick and sum it up. Valentines day was amazing. Trav and I ate at the Melting Pot and he surprised me with Rascal Flatt and Jessica Simpson concert tickets. I also attended the Celine Dion concert in Utah one word...amazing! I met some Utah friends for lunch and it was a blast, always sad to say goodbye. I lost some money in Jackpot with my best friend Amber and mom, bummer deal. We then scored a free suite from a man that wanted a piece from my mom, and not a piece of pie if you know what I mean, ha ha! Sophie and TJ came up from St George to hang out with us. Our best friend Dre was in town from Portland, so we had another girls night! I then judged cheer competition with some friends, we had a great time and wanted to bust a move on the infamous blue competition mat that gives you the feeling of excitement and makes you want to puke all at once. I then rounded up the month with the nasty cold that's hit everyone plus me!!

24...ugh!

So, I turned 24 on the 23rd of last week and I feel old this year for some reason! Well anyways, the celebration always lasts for a week and this year we've had a couple of parties. Friday we had a girl slumber party with my grandma and mom. We watched E.T. my choice, I love it, played Phase 10 until 1:30 in the morning, grandma's a trooper, and had my favorite dinner that night and a big wonderful breakfast in the morning! Last night was my friend "Princess Party" yes, 24 years old, ha ha. We went to my favorite place to eat, Texas Roadhouse and had another girl slumber party at Brianna's house. We fell asleep at 7:00 this morning after talking, playing games and talking some more. We always have a blast! This year our friends Sophie, Cassi, Andrea and Lindsey couldn't be at the Princess Party because they're all out of town:( We missed you guys! Tomorrow is my family/super bowl party that'll consist of more eating! Hooray for 24?!

just an update:)

Since my last post we've had a lot happen around the Jones/Henderson household. It was Tucker's 1st Christmas, I know, who cares. But, since I don't have a cute bundle of a baby to talk about around this fun time of year, it's about my furballs, family and friends!! We had my mom's Sunday school class and a few of my friends come over for a caroling party in Parkside Creek followed by spiced wassil and hot coco. Our next adventure was Travis's first shot administration. Recipient: our wonderful and still best friend after this event, Brianna Travis. He held his own while I made sure we had plenty of footage! New Years came and went as fast as Christmas did with my mom having emergency surgery twice! So we, being Travis and I and our 10 of our wonderful friends, moved our New Years Eve Party to room 545 for a good hour and then proceeded to play rock band until 7 the next morning at Brianna's house! All of my puppies got new homes and I cried when they left our little nest! I wrapped Gracies boobies with cabbage and an Ace bandage, hey, if it works on humans why not try to dry up the old bags on Miss Grace!! Last, our friends TJ and Sophie Ai both graduated and moved on to a warmer place...St. George Utah. We miss them lots!

Merry Christmas

Today my cute grandma, mother, friend Sophie and I made sugar cookies. Oh my heck, it took us forever. Three hours of baking, frosting and sprinkles. I must be ADD because I thought our little festive project wouldn't come to an end! I've been on a sugar high all day. Our batch was to make 100 cookies, that number didn't hold due to the fact that I ate my weight in sugar cookie dough!MMMM nothing is better than a spoon, or hand full, of dough and a glass of milk. We also decorated our Christmas tree, while watching our family favs, Christmas Vacation and Elf. Ok, I'll admit it's not just at Christmas time when we watch these, they're played over and over year round.
Later that night we went with our friends to a cute coffee place in Meridian for hot coco and what was supposed to be Christmas light gazing, ended up as a Wii tournament! So, the lights will have to come another night! Merry Christmas!

Bodily fluids, bed pans and blood, whoo hoo!

We received a long awaited phone call yesterday letting us know Travis was accepted into the ISU nursing program in Boise! I have a Gaylord Focker on my hands and we're so excited. For those of you that know, we've been sweating major bullets knowing that Travis was the 2nd alternate to possibly get into the program! He'll complete the program in 16 months as an RN and will attend school to further his education as a nurse anesthetist. Thank you for all of your prayers, text messages and phone calls!

Fishing...for kittens?

Saturday me, my husband, father and friends Sophie and TJ went fishing on the Boise River. It was a beautiful day and we caught a lot of trout! The boys brought their waders and were trying their luck at steelhead fishing! While fishing on the river, we came across baby kittens lying on their mother who had died. Of course me, being the future ASPCA worker, I lured the three babies out of the bush with pizza crust and zipped them into my coat for the duration of the fishing day! We didn't keep any fish, just kittens!

2 boys, 3 girls, and a much needed update...

Hello all! We're still alive and doing well. We've been very busy the last 3 weeks. As you know, we've moved back to Idaho. I didn't think it would be as hard as it has been, mostly for me, due to the fact that we had such great friends and jobs in Utah. Its the little things that I miss, like my neighbors little girl that yelled "TraBis" she loves her "TraBis". I miss my work girls hilarious stories laughter and wondering if someone fed the dang fish that day. I miss winning in my bunco group, ha ha sorry guys, Travis made me practice! I miss movie night at the Jones house, and watching Karter and Kandon play and grow. Anyways, I'll jump off my box, just know that I miss and love you very much!

On a lighter note, Gracie had her puppies one week ago! In the group photo the 2 little boys are on the left and our 3 ladies are on the right! In order from the left is Duke, Daxton, Daphnee, Darbee and Dottie. I guess I'm one of those moms! We were up all night birthing the babies! I didn't sleep a wink until 7 the next morning, peeking in their bin everytime they made the slightest noise. Sorry, I'm posting like this is my first born, ha ha! The other pictures are of us in Salt Lake going to see Thriller as our last date night before we moved, loved loved loved it too! Well, I'll keep updating pics of the little ones! love ya-Linds

Moving back to good ol' Idaho!

Yes, it's true, we're moving back to Idaho! It's a bitter sweet subject for me! I've loved Utah and the friends that have become our family here! Thank you to everyone that we've met along our journey. We love you and are going to miss you a lot. This is our humble abode we just put up for sale, it's in Springville 3 bed 2 1/2 bath. Oh, and cross your fingers...we're hoping Trav gets into the nursing school in Boise. xo
